Become a WWOOF Belize Host Farm
If you have an organic farm in Belize and would like to become part of WWOOF, you may join here.
WWOOF started in England in the 70's, to take urban dwellers to work weekends in organic farms. In exchange for the work of visitors, the farms would host and feed them during their stay. Today, WWOOF is a world-wide organisation present in oer 50 countries and with thousands of member travellers and farms.
WWOOF Host Farms offer room and board to young travellers from all over the world, who want to get to know the country in a different way and learn by doing. During their stay at host farms, visitors ("WWOOFers") work from 5 to 7 hours per day, 5 to 6 days per week in the daily chores of running the farm. When they join WWOOF, travellers receive a listing of all the host farms in the country. When you join as a host farm, your contact information appears in the listing that the WWOOFers receive. They will then contact you directly to apply and make arrangements to visit your farm.
By joining as a host farm, you agree to reply to all WWOOFer inquiries within two weeks, and to not admit or host any travellers who are not members of WWOOF Belize. You also agree to provide room and board free of charge to members of WWOOF Belize during their stay in your farm.
